The tracker does not set cookies

The Kipstats tracking script does not set cookies or localStorage and does not follow visitors across websites. This website also uses Orbe to remember your cookie choices; Orbe stores them for six months. You can change them with “Manage cookies”.

Limited visitor data

We do not store raw IP addresses in analytics reports. To count unique visitors, the server derives a daily-rotating hash from the IP address, browser information and site domain. The hash is pseudonymous and cannot be used to follow a visitor across days or websites.

The salt rotates every 24 hours, making it impossible to correlate visitors across days.

Your privacy choices

On this website, Kipstats is operated by KIPDEV as a cookieless audience measurement tool, used solely to measure traffic and produce anonymous statistics. It receives the page address, the referring site, the screen size, the browser language and, like any server, the IP address, which is not stored (only a fingerprint renewed every day and specific to this site is used). This data is neither combined with other processing nor shared with third parties, and is kept for 25 months at most. In accordance with CNIL deliberation no. 2020-091, this measurement is exempt from consent. You can opt out at any time with this link: stop measuring my visits on this site (it sets a marker in your browser that disables all measurement on this site; ?kp_ignore=0 removes it). If you install Kipstats on your own website, describe the measurement in your privacy notice and assess the consent rules that apply to your use and jurisdiction.

Lightweight & transparent

Our tracking script is about 4.2 KB gzipped, and it is plain, unminified JavaScript: open kipstats.com/tracker.js and you can read exactly what is collected. We use the sendBeacon API for non-blocking data transmission with no impact on your site's performance.

What we collect

We only collect the minimum data needed to provide useful analytics:

• Page URL — which pages are visited (query parameters stripped)
• Referrer — where visitors come from
• Browser & OS — derived from User-Agent (not stored raw)
• Country & city — derived from IP via local GeoIP database (IP is never stored)
• Screen size — viewport dimensions for device type classification
• UTM parameters — campaign tracking data you explicitly add to URLs

What we don't collect

• IP addresses (used for geo lookup, then discarded)
• Cookies or local storage data
• Personal information (names, emails, etc.)
• Cross-site tracking or fingerprinting
• Data sold to third parties

Your data, your control

Your analytics data is hosted on secure servers in the European Union and is never sold or shared with third parties. You stay in full control — export everything as CSV or permanently delete your data at any time, directly from your dashboard.
